The McDonald's announced food for thought their decision to begin to reduce the use of antibiotics in chickens for consumption in their restaurants, amid concerns that excessive use in poultry may reduce the effectiveness of drugs in humans.
The global fast food chain stated that they will not stop to care for the health of the animals, however, made clear that he intends not to use the meat in the restaurants. According to the plan drawn up by the company, chickens served in US restaurants will be free of such antibiotics within two years, said Marion Gross, vice president of the US company, and stressed that the new regime will apply to the Europe restaurants.
