One Day Jazz Festival begins this year in style. Already on Feb. 27 will offer listeners a quality jazz trio Harry Sokal, Heiri Känzig and Martin Valihora, known as the Depart, true American soul singer famous in the administration, composer and multi-instrumentalist Frank McComb and tip Slovak Andrej Šeban with his young energetic band.
After this year's successful tour Andrej Šeban fans are sure to please even the appearance One Day Jazz Festival, since its Bratislava concerts were sold out. With Andrej plays his new concert band composed - Daniel 99 Špiner (keyboards), Peter Rusňák (bass) and Michal Fedor (drums).
Power-trio Depart the Slovak audiences to new members. Drummer Jojo Mayer was replaced after 15-years of Martin Valihora. Virtuoso soloists trio will play explosive mix of exciting rhythms and engaging melodies.
Frank McComb is a great talent who gave us certainly deserved attention. He has performed with jazz greats such as Herbie Hancock, Oscar Peterson, Roberta Flack, Donny Hathaway 99 (to whose voice is frequently compared) and Stevie Wonder.
