Upper East Side, one of Manhattan

Upper East Side, one of Manhattan's most authentic neighborhood. Although the avenues at the edge of Central Park offers an unnecessary luxury in the form of expensive boutiques and Michelin-acclaimed coney island restaurants, you will find in this neighborhood a more intimate atmosphere where even we mere mortals can afford to live. To find this part of the UES, you head east to district nearest the East River. There you will also find some of our stamhak (which you can read about here, here and here), and one of these is First Avenue Coffee Shop. First Avenue coney island Coffee Shop, or 1 Ave Restaurant as it says on the agency's awning is neither a coffee coney island place or restaurant, but a diner. Those of you who are regular readers of EANY already know that we in the newsroom are very fond of this type of uramerikanska comfort food institutions, where the air is full of wonderful smells, and the walls got a nice patina from both frying and the ravages of time. First Ave Coffee Shop is one of New York's most authentic diners, where the long bar for decades worn by patrons in search of delicious food. The we visit the slender little dinern when it's time for dinner the day the refrigerator gaping plot. The menu features a hundred different choices, which is very welcome after a way too long day, and most of the range consists of diner classics such as sandwiches, burgers, and breakfast dishes. My standing choice of 1st Ave is their BLT, served with a good friend by the name of onion rings. Another classic diner dish is glass-based creations, and at 1st Ave, you can order everything from ordinary milkshakes to the Banana Splits. My favorite is a float where a scoop of vanilla ice cream swimming coney island in a glass of Coca-Cola. First Ave Coffee Shop is a wonderful little diner. The place is incredibly genuine, so if you want to enjoy a proper American breakfast, lunch or dinner surrounded by local patrons, you now know where to go. As if by chance we updated today also another San Francisco with a tip about a diner. View Larger Map First Avenue Coffee Shop 1433 1st Ave (between E 74th and E 75th Street), Manhattan
