Diners are my very dear to my heart, and I have tried to figure out why. One of the reasons is that it is a very exotic phenomena in their prototypical amerikanskhet, something I can not get enough of even though I live here. And the food is usually incredibly good, and we can thank the three ingredients in fat, sugar, and salt. Additionally teeming my neighborhood, the Upper East Side of nice diners and I will now tell you about a place called Viand Coffee Shop. Like so many other diners have Viand open around the clock, making it a great stop when you fall back home late at night. The atmosphere and decor is just what you would expect of an open night diner: a bunch of older men in the fly takes your order, you sit down in a vinylbås, bar louie and somewhere in the background mixing background music with the other night guest muffled conversations. Do you want to make the visit extra cinematic, you can also CONSUME your food at the counter. The menu consists of typical diner grub like sandwiches, burgers, and breakfast food, but you can also find both healthier alternatives and Greek and Jewish specialties, bar louie if you look a little among the dishes. Portions are generous, and it is still not enough has Viand also a substantial selection of side orders. A personal favorite is Viands matzo ball soup, and the price of a bowl of two of these kexbollar is a paltry $ 3.50, so do not be surprised if you find yourself ordering more than a bowl of this wonderful soup. Viand is a cozy place for comfort food, and it is a diner where you please remain seated for a long time, until the sun comes up somewhere over Queens across the East River. bar louie Viand Coffee Shop 300 E 86th Street (between 2nd and 1st ave) Manhattan
New York is so much more than Times Square, Broadway and expensive restaurants. "Another New York" is a place where we collect all the little gems that make New York to our city. Places we like.
